dataSTICKIES

dataSTICKIES are the next generation of data portability. They are graphene based flash divers that replace USB pen drivers and hard discs. USB based drivers can be inconvenient to use as the positioning and insertion of the drive in the USB slot needs to be done precisely. When the slots are at the rear of a device, as is the case for many desktop computers, this task becomes even more troublesome.

To solve these problems Aditi Singh and Parag Anand made a new data storing device and a data transferring mode. It is called dataSTICKIES. It is like a light sticky note that can paste on somewhere to remind you that you want. But there is an electronic component in each and every layer. This is made with a graphene layer, between two protective layers.

Main structure of a dataSTICKIE

Graphene is an artificial chemical item that stronger than steel hundred times and can reduce until the atomic level. In a small graphene layer we can store large amount of data and the edge of this dataSTICKIE, there is a conductive layer.
To transfer data there is a special surface, called Optical Data Transfer Surface (ODTS). It is transparent. We can paste it on space around a monitor, smartphone etc and give electric power.
These dataSTICKIES can make with various colors and also can write on it. So it likes keeping notes.
